GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 156006
PPC32 support ?
Last modified: 2010-05-11 16:30:42 UTC
hi, tonight, i've realized that i haven't installed memprof of my new ibook. As it wasn't in Debian, i've tried to compile it. LC_ALL=C make -k >/dev/null intercept.c: In function `_exit': intercept.c:534: warning: `noreturn' function does return stack-frame.c: In function `mi_call_with_signal_backtrace': stack-frame.c:152: error: `stack_frame' undeclared (first use in this function) stack-frame.c:152: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once stack-frame.c:152: error: for each function it appears in.) stack-frame.c:152: error: `frame' undeclared (first use in this function) stack-frame.c:156: warning: left-hand operand of comma expression has no effect stack-frame.c:158: warning: implicit declaration of function `next_frame' stack-frame.c:158: warning: left-hand operand of comma expression has no effect stack-frame.c:160: warning: implicit declaration of function `frame_return_address' stack-frame.c:160: warning: initialization makes pointer from integer without a cast make[2]: *** [stack-frame.lo] Error 1 mi-perfctr.c: In function `sigprof_handler': mi-perfctr.c:65: error: structure has no member named `eip' mi-perfctr.c:65: error: structure has no member named `ebp' mi-perfctr.c:65: error: structure has no member named `esp' make[2]: *** [mi-perfctr.lo] Error 1 speedintercept.c: In function `sigprof_handler': speedintercept.c:176: error: `saved_pc' undeclared (first use in this function) speedintercept.c:176: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once speedintercept.c:176: error: for each function it appears in.) speedintercept.c:176: error: too many arguments to function `mi_call_with_backtrace' make[2]: *** [speedintercept.lo] Error 1 bfdutils.c: In function `process_map_sections': bfdutils.c:348: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size main.c: In function `profile_selection_changed': main.c:413: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules process.c: In function `process_find_line': process.c:353: warning: cast from pointer to integer of different size server.o(.text+0x970): In function `create_control_socket': /home/benoit/CVS/gnome/memprof/server.c:435: warning: the use of `mktemp' is dangerous, better use `mkstemp' make[2]: Target `all-am' not remade because of errors. make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 make: Target `all' not remade because of errors. Looks bad. If memprof only supports i386, it should be better to require an i386 compatible arch in the configure.in. Else, this means that this bug is blocker.
