Description DmD (Spider) Ljungmark 2004-10-19 12:17:36 UTC
( The following bugreports have accumulated caused us to drop support for
epiphany in our current desktop release. They have been deemed overall to be
annoying enough to warrant replacing Epiphany with Mozilla, which still suffers
from theese, and other bugs, but appears more consistent. )

When navigating using tabs, and you try to copy a link from one page to another
(into fex. a form) using the standard X method (mark, middle click) it doesn't
work in epiphany.

Works here, using ephy HEAD + ff aviary.
Comment 2 Christian Persch 2004-10-19 14:06:33 UTC
Sorry, I mis-read. Copying from the location entry doesn't work here, too.

Not sure if it's really a bug, though -- Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V works.

Its a bug in that it breaks expected behaviour, especially compared with how
other things on the desktop works. Most other applications -dont- change the
marking of anything just because you change a tab, also, there is no visual cue
that the URI field is changed by the tab. (except that the URI changes... ;)
Comment 4 Christian Persch 2004-12-15 14:30:18 UTC
Galeon has code that fixes this (stores selection and re-sets it after chaning
the entry), we could copy that.
Marco, do you think this we should do this?

This bug is really annoying.

1. Select the current location
2. Switch the tab
3. Try pasting : the buffer is empty.

This really confusing...
