These two patches should fix default cups printer selection. The problem has
been introduced by the new async functionality.

Current Gnome (2.10/2.10.1) always selects the "Generic PS" printer for me and
not the default CUPS printer. Has this patch been applied already to CVS, so I
can test if it really fixes default printer selection?
