GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 154900
Terminator 3 trailor .mov plays very slowly
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
gstreamer 0.8.7, gst-plugins 0.8.5, gst-ffmpeg 0.8.1.2 (prerelease) ftp://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/MOV/1024x1024/t3_tlr_m480.mov This file only plays at about one frame every two seconds. One strange thing I noticed though is that while it plays very slowly with the stock kernel that shipped with FC2 (2.6.5 based), it doesn't play at all with the first binary kernel upgrade provided by the fedora team (2.6.6 based). This seems strange since I've generally seen better performance with everything else with the later kernel...
That's funny, because that one is actually in my testsuite and plays fine here (no audio, because we have no qdm2 codec). Can you give some more info? Audiosink? What ap do you test with?
Test app is totem, I'd need to check the particular version tonight but it's from a month or two ago.
Right, you need totem 0.99.17 or newer. Preferrably latest CVS but not absolutely required.
I'll move this to NEEDINFO until you've tested with totem...
The version of totem I tested with is 0.99.15 which is still the most recent release available at http://tettnang.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=811 I might be blind but I couldn't find where to download the totem source at from the main page http://www.hadess.net/totem.php3 Could you send me a link to a source rpm or point me to the totem cvs source?
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/totem/0.99/
Tested it on my machine and video now playbacks smooth as a babies bottom. Closing
