Description Alexander Larsson 2004-10-04 12:46:17 UTC
From https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=74881

when I enter smb: in the location bar I cannot drag the current folder (smb://)
to the desktop by clicking on the "location" text and dragging to the desktop :/
It works for subfolders
Comment 1 Christian Neumair 2005-08-21 20:33:32 UTC
Dragging the currently open location associated with a .desktop link to the
desktop will *never* work for smb:///, network:///, computer:///, etc.. I
propose to add a hash table which contains .desktop URIs and their related
directories, passing the .desktop file URI instead of the actual file URI when
doing file operations on the latter.

NEEDINFO - When this report was filed, gnome-vfs was used by nautilus.
Nowadays GNOME uses gvfs instead.

Reporter, is this still an issue in GNOME 2.26/2.28?
Please update the report (and update the "Version" field & remove the NEEDINFO state when doing so).
