Description itamar 2004-09-28 20:43:55 UTC
I'm on a G4, running Debian Unstable (kernel 2.4). Rhythmbox will occassionaly
crash (UI freezes) with the following error:

rhythmbox: relocation error: /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.8/libgstresample.so: undefined
symbol: conv_short_double_ppcasm

This may (or may not) be related to the fact that I am playing MP3s ripped from
shoutcast stream, i.e. slightly invalid. I'm using OSS backend, but I've seen
this with ESD backend as well.

This was fixed prior to 0.8.2. Are you sure you have the version correct?
Comment 2 itamar 2004-10-26 14:54:29 UTC
Some of my plugins may have been older. I can't check any more since I upgraded
to latest version. But indeed since the upgrade I haven't seen this issue, so it
it is probably fixed. I wanted to give it a few more weeks of testing before
closing the bug, though, since it was semi-random on certain mp3s.

Haven't heard anything more so it seems this is fixed. Please reopen if it is
still a problem.
