- Start an input method (on FC3, add the input method switcher applet
  to your panel, and export GTK_IM_MODULE=iiim)
- Enter some text and select it in a GtkTextView

   abcdef[<shift>Home]
- Now start preediting and enter some text
   <shift>space nihongo
- Watch as the selection is misdrawn as the initial text is pushd over

Any update of this bug? Seems it's still not fixed yet.

still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please consider creating a gitlab issue
for it.
