Small images such a icons of 16x16 get scaled up by nautilus, then they look
very blurry and also do not give a good indication how large they actually are.
A 24x24 icon gets displayed at its original size. So if there are both a 24x24
and a 16x16 version of the icon you might get confused

IMHO nautilus just should display the images at there real size.
