Description gbz 2004-09-18 22:49:36 UTC
Would it be sensible to have guidelines about where a progress bar should be
placed, if in a status bar? For consistency, at least.
For example, you can notice difference by comparing som GNOME applications:

Epiphany 1.2.7
--------------

a) progress bar is on the RIGHT side
b) it VANISHES after completion

EOG
---
a) progress bar is on the LEFT side
b) it REMAINS after completion

gpdf
----
a) progress bar is on the LEFT side
b) it VANISHES after completion
Comment 1 Bryan W Clark 2004-12-20 23:30:12 UTC
a suggested area for progress bars seems like a reasonable idea
Comment 2 Allan Day 2014-09-26 14:04:13 UTC
Progress bars in status bars aren't recommended practice any more.
