Description Stephane Loeuillet 2004-09-18 10:40:10 UTC
using gstreamer core+plugins+ffmpeg from current CVS
using gnome-media 2.8.0/nautilus-media 0.8.1from gnome 2.8

using gstreamer-properties, clicking the test button for videosink (set to
xvimagesink)

it says :

(gstreamer-properties:8470): GStreamer-WARNING **: element thread2 claimed
state-change success, but state didn't change to PAUSED. State is PLAYING
(NONE_PENDING pending), fix the element

(gstreamer-properties:8470): GStreamer-WARNING **: element ffmpegcolorspace0
claimed state-change success, but state didn't change to PLAYING. State is PAUSED
(NONE_PENDING pending), fix the element

i didn't know if i should report this one against gst-plugins or against
gnome-media. so, feel free to move it elsewhere
Comment 1 Stephane Loeuillet 2004-09-20 20:48:48 UTC
please note that it only put those warnings if run as a non-priviledged user
(plus the opened window stay black)

it works perfectly as root (the window is colorfull, like a TV 'mire' after end
of programs), with no warning at all

I am quite sure this is gstreamer-properties brokenness. Reassigning there.
Comment 3 Stephane Loeuillet 2004-12-21 18:59:14 UTC
good news, i don't have this bug anymore using :

gnome-media 2.9.2 and gstreamer+plugins+ffmpeg CVS

all the videosink test work
not the case for the 2 v4lsrc/v4l2src, but it is a different issue, will open
another bug
