GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 152220
Single click no longer exists as an option in Inbox Monitor
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
In RH9, there was an option under preferences in Inbox Monitor to execute a command when the Inbox monitor Applet was single clicked. Now there is only a double click option. It would be helpfull to have the single click option as well.
Actually I think it is the opposite. The single-click option recently replaced the double-click option (since gnome 2.6.1 actually). Can you check that this is not the case ?
(See bug 143734)
Adding more info as requested. Distribution Fedora Core 2, Gnome 2.6 by Redhat build date 03/31/2004 From the applet's about box: Inbox monitor 2.6.2.1 Int the preferences there is a window with 2 tabs, the first titled Behavior. In that tab at the bottom, there are check boxes under the title commands. 1) Before each update 2) When new mail arrives 3) When double clicked Am I missing something? Cheers George
Well, all I can say is that I have the Inbox Monitor 2.7.3, and instead of "When double clicked" I have the string "When clicked". The ChangeLog for the app says : 2004-06-10 Dennis Smit <ds@nerds-incorporated.org> * mailcheck.c (exec_clicked_cmd): Open on single click instead of double based on: http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/1.0/userinput.html#mouse-interaction-applets (mailcheck_properties_page): Removed references to double clicks. Instead just use 'clicked'. So I guess you just need to upgrade your gnome-applets package to a more recent version.
Closing as the bug is fixed in recent version of gnome-applets.
