ftp://ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/game-formats/idroq/demoEnd.RoQ ftp://ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/testsuite/odivx.avi gst-player played both of these files before (very slowly) but at least they played. rpm -qa | grep gst shows the following files where upgraded with the newer gstreamer universe New rpm's which won't play these two files gstreamer-0.8.4-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-tools-0.8.4-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-devel-0.8.4-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-audio-0.8.2-3.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-video-0.8.2-3.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-devel-0.8.2-3.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-0.8.2-3.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-ffmpeg-0.8.1-0.lvn.1.2 Old rpm's which did play these files very slowly gstreamer-0.8.3-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-tools-0.8.3-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-devel-0.8.3-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-audio-0.8.2-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-video-0.8.2-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-devel-0.8.2-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-0.8.2-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-ffmpeg-0.8.0-0.lvn.2.2 And just for completeness sake here are the rest of the gst* rpm's on my system which where identical in both cases. gstreamer06-0.6.5-0.fdr.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-extra-audio-0.6.5-0.lvn.2.2 gstreamer06-ffmpeg-0.6.5-0.lvn.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-0.6.5-0.fdr.2.2 gstreamer06-devel-0.6.5-0.fdr.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-devel-0.6.5-0.fdr.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-video-0.6.5-0.fdr.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-extra-dvd-0.6.5-0.lvn.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-extra-video-0.6.5-0.lvn.2.2 gstreamer06-plugins-audio-0.6.5-0.fdr.2.2 gstreamer-editor-0.7.0-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-extra-audio-0.8.2-0.lvn.1.2 gstreamer-player-0.8.0-0.fdr.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-extra-dvd-0.8.2-0.lvn.1.2 gstreamer-plugins-extra-video-0.8.2-0.lvn.1.2 gstreamer-monkeysaudio-0.8.0-0.lvn.1.2 gstreamer-universe-0.8.1-0.fdr.1.2
odivx plays fine in current CVS. The .RoQ file is indeed broken, it consumes 100% CPU and doesn't really do anything.
The RoQ file plays "OK" with current CVS now, I made a small change to ffdemux. However, it seems to play *very* slow. Is that normal? If I have to believe ffmpeg timestamps, it's playing at normal speed... If that's how it's supposed to be, I can close this.
You can go ahead an close this bug. I retested again today with gstreamer-0.8.5, gst-plugins-0.8.4 and gst-ffmpeg-0.8.1.2(pre release) and both files play fine now. Not that it matters but they also play fine with the brand spanking new 0.8.6 core release. I'm not sure what you mean when you say the RoQ file seems to play slow on your machine, it no longer seems slow at all on mine (it's only about 3-4 seconds from start to credits display at the end). Thanks for fixing this one!
Yeah, I just fixed the slow playback, too. As for missing 3 seconds: I know. That's another bug. ;).
