Description Zaheer Abbas Merali 2004-07-26 17:39:41 UTC
peak is reported as 0.0dB/-0.1dB for the following pipeline:

silence ! level ! osssink

To show this, use demo app in the directory in level directory

ok I fixed silence now, and it reports -90.0 which is correct.

What is interesting is, if you replace silence in the pipeline with osssrc (with
the mixer set for nothing to record, or Input Gain set to 0) u get peak at 0.0dB.

However with alsasrc (with the mixer set for nothing to record, or capture set
very low volume) u get expected results.

Are there issues with osssrc?

Thanks thomas, your commit fixed the osssrc case...it was fixating to unsigned.
