Description Glenn ROLLAND 2004-07-07 20:51:25 UTC
Since 2.6, many nautilus users, me included, prefer the [middle-double-click] or
[SHIFT]+[left-double-click] action (open in current windows) to the default
[left-double-click] action (open in new windows) for spatial mode.

For many reasons continuing with this configuration is not easy : people not
used to press SHIFT while clicking, or "crazy" mouse wheels, or no third mouse
button, etc.

Couln't be possible to add :
- an option to select the default action for left-double clic (a checkbox in
nautilus' preferences for "open folder in current window") ?
and/or
- a gconf key to swap the mouse actions
and/or
- something to select the actions (contextual menu, open file/folder, etc..) for
each button ?

Thank you (and sorry for my poor english).

This is a dupe of my bug 145427. I have already sent in a patch for this and I'm
currently waiting for the maintainer to review it (I guess they are all very
busy after GUADEC!). Hoepfully my patch will get added soon.
