GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 144884
Bad PDF file created when using particular ttf font
Last modified: 2005-09-22 17:31:38 UTC
Install the Schreibmaschine ttf font Launch AbiWord 2 create document using font Choose "Create a PDF document" from the Print dialog box. Resulting PDF document is bad. I contacted the font foundry, they have given development license to the gnome developers for development purposes. I will forward their e-mail and a gzipped copy of the font to the gnome developer who wished to confirm this bug.
Created attachment 28959 [details] png of font properly displayed in AbiWord2
Created attachment 28960 [details] PDF created from AbiWord 2 using the font
Which locale are you using?
I believe en-US (utf8??) - whatever the default for Fedora Core 2 is.
Other ttf fonts I have purchased work fine - I don't buy a lot, but I have bought others - this is the first that doesn't. Other fonts I have bought that work (from myfonts.com) - Helvetica, Palatino Linotype, Shimmer, Shimmer Bold, Phollic
Could you give things a try with cvs head ?
I will try next weekend (this weekend I have too much studying)
Any luck with cvs head ?
I wonder if this is related to 158424
Please try again with libgnomeprint HEAD from CVS.
Will try in fc4t1 next week.
Great. Although I should be clear. This will require the soon to be released 2.10.3 or cvs head. I'm not sure which packages will be in fc4tl.
Did you ever get a chance to try >= 2.10.3 ?
My apologies for taking so long to respond - it does works perfectly with current gnomeprint in fc4 (2.10.3), so this can be closed.
