GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 144674
Internal Gstreamer error (gstpad.c)
Last modified: 2005-08-25 23:46:05 UTC
Try to play an avi from alt.tv.binaries.farscape. I'm not yet attaching it because it's rather large. Interne GStreamer-fout: padprobleem. Stuur een foutrapport. Additional debug info: gstpad.c(2486): gst_pad_set_explicit_caps: /work_thread/autoplugger/mad0: failed to negotiate (try_set_caps with "audio/x-raw-int, endianness=(int)1234, signed=(boolean)true, width=(int)16, depth=(int)16, rate=(int)48000, channels=(int)2" returned REFUSED)
is this with gst-launch (in that case: which?) or with totem?
from gst-player. It's an xvid avi. How can I find out 'which' gst-launch is used?
You don't have to, we will figure out. We'll be able to reproduce in gst-player. :).
Reinout, looks to me like your audio sink is refusing 48000 Hz. What is your gconf audiosink key set to ? can you add audioconvert in front of it and see if that helps ?
Thomas, How do I check the audiosink key? I know I've seen the config dialog some time but I've forgotten how to get there. :/
gstreamer-properties should work
My installation is borked at the moment. I'll have to postpone...
Still have this issue? Or can I close the bug?
It's still happening with 0.8.5.
With gst-player? Can you try totem?
This bug is old and no longer relevant.
