i've tried with gst-launch-ext-0.8 film.avi

it is extremely slow and the sound jumps
addionally it takes a lot of cpu

reproducing the same film mplayer does not take more than 20% cpu

Cut out the first MB using head -c 10M > file-head.avi or so.
