When you save as a CSV file, Gnumeric always writes the first sheet, regardless
of which sheet is currently selected.  It would make a lot more sense to have
the currently-visible sheet save instead of the first one.

This patch has already been committed to cvs HEAD. It is attached to this bug
so the fix can be backported to 1,2,x.
