Description Roland Stigge 2004-05-07 11:50:57 UTC
Trying to incprporate dia 0.93 into Debian, I encountered that it installs a
whole hierarchy under /usr/var/scrollkeeper/. This is considered FHS-incompatible.
Comment 1 Roland Stigge 2004-05-11 11:28:52 UTC
This seems to be fixed with the workaround described in #142032.
Comment 2 Roland Stigge 2004-07-10 09:10:16 UTC
The problem is still present with 0.94-pre1.
Comment 3 Lars Clausen 2004-07-10 09:23:50 UTC
It's from the omf.make, which we took from the scrollkeeper project. Curiously,
our version is 0.1.3, which doesn't exist under scrollkeeper. The things
installed by dia through omf.make go like this:

scrollkeeper_localstate_dir = $(localstatedir)/scrollkeeper
...
		$(INSTALL_DATA) $$file.out $(DESTDIR)$(omf_dest_dir)/$$file; \
...

However, I suspect scrollkeeper-update of going to the wrong place. Tips on the
One True Way to do this would be welcome.
Comment 4 Lars Clausen 2005-02-26 07:21:03 UTC
Probably should upgrade to a newer version. The preferred path seems to be /var/lib
Comment 5 Hans Breuer 2005-12-28 10:50:58 UTC
There was a change in 2004-11-02 w/o an explaining ChangeLog entry.
This issue may be fixed since than? See:

Comment 6 Hans Breuer 2006-02-26 14:49:10 UTC
Closing as obsolete, please try 0.95-preX
Comment 7 Roland Stigge 2006-04-02 16:28:41 UTC
Yes, that works. Thanks.
