Description Luis Villa 2004-05-04 21:02:14 UTC
It would be nice to be more clear and use 'cut folder' and 'copy folder' when
right-clicking on a folder, instead of cut file/copy file.

Is this a duplicate/variant of bug 95112? It certainly touches the same issue,
and Manny's patch is quite alike on both bugs ;)

Is there any chance the nautilus maintainers would accept this after the freeze
is over? If so perhaps we could add the blocked-by-freeze keyword so this
doesn't get lost? It looks pretty straightforward in terms of the patch, but I
don't hack nautilus at all.

I think it would make the menu more clear as Luis suggested, or if followiing
the suggestions from bug 9512 it should not have anything after cut and copy
(though I think the suggestion luis made is better).

No, this would still count as string-freeze break, which will never be over for
Gnome 2.8 releases. It would have to go through the same freeze-break approval
procedure as it would have to go through now.

Oh, never mind me, you're probably thinking of Gnome 2.10 (or whatever)
material, which is what blocked-by-freeze applies to in case of string freezes,
not 2.8.1.

bug 95112 says these menu entries shouldn't have qualifiers at all.
