Description Brad Taylor 2004-05-04 18:38:17 UTC
To make multiple-protocol support more rich, having meta-contacts (where one
contact can have multiple JIDs) might be nice. This would seem to integrate
with e-d-s (in 1.0) well as a contact can have multiple screen names.
Comment 1 Mikael Hallendal 2004-05-04 20:29:18 UTC
Yeah, this would be nice.
Comment 2 Sigurd Gartmann 2004-10-10 12:29:01 UTC
The contact list should not display them any different than other (single jid)
useres. The extra information should be provided in the contact information dialog.
Comment 3 Sigurd Gartmann 2004-10-10 12:31:59 UTC
Maybe sending messages to contacts with other transports in addition to jabber
should prefer the jabber protocol?
Comment 4 Mikael Hallendal 2004-10-14 11:56:23 UTC
This should probably be a list that you can order. Just because you prefer
Jabber doesn't mean that your contact does, I think it would be nice to be able
to say,

I want to talk ICQ with this, and if it's not possible talk over Jabber, or
something.
Comment 5 Gilles Dartiguelongue 2006-07-08 10:26:06 UTC
If the information is taken from eds, maybe we can rely on the order of then IM fields.

Gossip development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few years now. You may use 'empathy' for similar functionality.

Maintainers don't have future development plan so i am closing bugs as WONTFIX. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
