GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 140410
New Bookmark toolbars shown even when "View->Bookmark toolbar" is disabled.
Last modified: 2011-02-14 13:05:43 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. In the Bookmarks Editor, set some folders to Show as Toolbar 2. Close Galeon and restart Expected effect: The bookmark toolbars should be restored as they were configured prior to Galeon shutdown. Actual effect: In the Bookmarks Editor, if the folders are right-clicked, Show as Toolbar is clearly checked. However, the bookmark toolbars are not restored at all.
This is not reproducable for me, is the "View -> Bookmark Toolbars" setting enabled ?
Sorry! You are completely right. This does bring up another issue, though. I had enabled bookmark toolbars for certain folders by using the "Show as Toolbar" option in the Bookmarks Editor. I did not need to use "View -> Bookmark Toolbars" to turn them on. After a restart of Galeon, the bookmark toolbars were gone and I had to use "View -> Bookmark Toolbars" to enable them again. This is inconsistent behaviour.
Indeed, I am re-titling the bug as appropriate.
I got bit by this issue too. I was about to file a bug until I realized it was already addressed here. Indeed selecting 'View ->Bookmark toolbars' fixed it, but i have to agree this is confusing, maybe it should be on by default, or automatically enabled when a bookmark folder is set in toolbar mode.
