i'm using gstreamer from 17-04-2004 and none of those programs work any longer,
gstreamer-properties says:

Could you attach the output of 'gst-launch-0.8 fakesrc ! fakesink -i10
--gst-debug-level=5 &>log'.  It will be rather large, so please compress it.

i have compiled gstremaer HEAD rigth now and it, somehow, works again
