GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 140252
Resource costs should be more flexible on time period
Last modified: 2021-06-09 20:30:32 UTC
Current cost field is a per hour rate. What would be better is for the period in which the cost is valid for could be inputted e.g. 100 per day or 1000 per week e.g. 25/h 100/d 1000/w etc. Accrual should be pro-rata at this time and there should be a flag to say if the value is for elapsed or worked. The flag ideally should be against the Project as there is also the issue of how lags are interpreted. Thus I envisage an "interpretation" table for how the time units are interpreted for the Costs and Lags. When a person puts in "Day" then this means either 1 calendar day or an "8 hour" day. Quite a difference in meaning - 1 is a 24 hour period, the other is an 8 hour period.
