Description Arafat Medini 2004-04-14 14:06:51 UTC
Distribution: Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)
Package: GStreamer
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.5.91 0.8.0
Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc
Synopsis: DVDs not playing in 16:9 format
Bugzilla-Product: GStreamer
Bugzilla-Component: don't know
Bugzilla-Version: 0.8.0
Description:
Description of Problem:
when I insert a DVD it plays (WOW by gstreamer standards, excuse my
sarcasm) but it doesn't play in 16:9 format instead it is stretched and
I can't change it to normal size by resizing the window. I tried it with
gst-player and Totem (yeah totem finally works with gstreamer!!!)

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. install gstreamer 0.8.0
2. insert DVD
3. start the movie

Actual Results:
movie is stretched and not in 16:9 format

Expected Results:
Movie in normal format

How often does this happen?
every time

Comment 1 Johan (not receiving bugmail) Dahlin 2004-04-15 12:01:49 UTC
I can confirm the same here. Might be related to the option:
Preferences -> Display -> Automatically resize the window when a new video is loaded
Comment 2 Arafat Medini 2004-04-15 14:35:31 UTC
changed the preference, nothing happens.
Comment 3 Ronald Bultje 2004-10-01 11:10:26 UTC
aspect-ratio is now added to cvs, hence fixing this.
