Description Jerome Haltom 2004-04-12 15:27:29 UTC
Run "yelp info:/".

This URL is also registered in other Gnome programs. This can be a pretty
dangerous DOS.

Since info:/ support is gone from 2.6, removing info:/ and man:/ URL support
totally would probably be wise?
Comment 1 Shaun McCance 2004-04-12 19:59:08 UTC
Yeah, I was informed of this the other day on IRC. The problem is that if Yelp
encounters a URI it can't handle, it calls gnome_url_show on it. But Yelp is
still registered as the info: and man: handler, so gnome_url_show calls Yelp,
which calls gnome_url_show, etc. I'm bumping the priority up on this. We
really need to fix this for 2.6.1.

Hrm, seems to work fine here with 2.6.0? Or am I doing the wrong thing?
Comment 3 Jerome Haltom 2004-05-05 15:05:49 UTC
This appears to be fixed for me with 2.6.1 but I can't find a mention in teh
changelog. Am I blind? Confirm. :)

If it works for both of us :) I'm closing; must have been fixed at some point.
