GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 136168
Images with capitalized extensions (.JPG) are not found by the image search/browser
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When I d/l my pictures from my camera, all of the files have an extension of .JPG. If I point gthumb at the folder where my pics are located, no images show up. If I rename a files extension to .jpg and refresh the folder, that particular image will show up, but no others.
maybe you have to install the shared-mime-info package.
No, it's a bug in gnome_vfs_mime_type_from_name_or_default. Added a workaround now.
What is the status of this?
Looks like it is working properly now. I'm at the latest Fedora rawhide levels: gnome-vfs2-2.7.92-3 gnome-mime-data-2.4.1-4 gthumb-2.4.1-2
Well, for my 2.6 system this is still an issue (even with gthumb 2.4.2 )
This should be fixed in cvs.
