Fixed in both trees. Patch will be in 1.2.7

This has been irritating me for a while. Last night I finally figured
out the answer. The problem was that I'd been asking the wrong
question. The docs were wrong. The field listed as storing the font
color appears to be a decoy. The color come in with the font info.
