This pipeline doesn't work : 
gst-launch filesrc location=foo.mp3 ! mad ! wavenc ! filesink
location=foo.wav : 

ERROR         default(31474) gstwavenc.c(591):gst_wavenc_chain:<wavenc0>
encoder not initialised (input is not audio?)

I get the same error with flac and vorbis file.

Seems to be working for me with HEAD from 03-03-04
