Description Jens Petersen 2004-02-25 13:59:14 UTC
Typically VC are not able to display widechars correctly,
at least not by default, so XKeepsCrashing should run in
LANG=C say for East Asian languages (CJK in particular).

The translated text is completely unreadable in a standard
VC, so displaying in English at least would be much better.
Comment 1 George Lebl 2004-05-06 22:36:58 UTC
Which languages are affected?
Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2004-05-20 02:46:23 UTC
Certainly ja_JP, ko_KR, zh_CN and zh_TW - basically any language without
fonts on a standard kernel VC.
Comment 3 George Lebl 2004-05-27 00:44:58 UTC
How does one find out if it won't work short of just having a list of "bad"
languages?
Comment 4 George Lebl 2004-05-27 01:24:07 UTC
"Fixing" in CVS. I've added a config string which tests for languages it
shouldn't touch on the console.
