GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 134359
Constraints are not obvious where used on tasks.
Last modified: 2005-02-20 18:24:08 UTC
Constraints are not easy to notice. They are only visible when you edit the date fields of a task from the Task View. I've been caught out wondering why a task wasn't moving because I had a constraint defined - quite confusing so it should be changed. Suggest initially that this is shown clearly on the Edit dialog for a task. Usually constraints are fine-tuned per-task and thus in the edit dialog is the best location. Should be on the first page of the Edit dialog at the top near/under the Milestone /Work stuff. Should have a Constraint and a date/time picker. It should also ideally be obviously flagged on the gantt and task views but thats a later change (say a column with a text field of the constraint ?. Rgds, Lincoln. ps: I should be able to do the dialog on this one next.
See also http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130939 for an additional bug that someone added for flagging note son the gantt - the constraint should also be flagged too.
I'm planning a separate Scheduling tab in the task dialog. This would have any current or planned temporal stuff.
Added the constraints stuff. Fixed in CVS.
