Description Roland Stigge 2004-02-06 14:26:25 UTC
Hi,

a Debian user reported that dia only uses metric units. I didn't recognize
many of them, but found some in "Page Setup".

See also http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=61422

bye,
  Roland

It is true that Dia is metric-centric, in fact centimeter-centric, and
that is on our wishlist.

It does respect /etc/papersize, though.

Mass reassign of 0.92[-pre*] bugs to 0.92.2
Comment 3 Alan Horkan 2004-11-26 23:26:34 UTC
Dia is "Scientific" and uses ISO standardised units, it is a _feature_ not a bug :P

Seriously though I am fairly sure it would be a massive pain to fix Dia do to
other unit types but any patches you could provide to help us get there would be
very much appreciated.

Inital stab on showing the scale in inch

The request recently came up on the mailing list again [1], so I tried how hard it would be. Although it involves some magic numbers (and trial and error) attached something basically working. I'm not interested in this feature myself, but if anyone cares enough to do some coding the patch could give a starting point.
