Description axel c. 2004-02-04 21:03:22 UTC
Would be really nice if totem had a little syst^H^H^H^H notification area
icon, so you can hide / unhide it when you just want it playing music in
the background. takes up unnecessary space in the window list otherwise.

Totem is a Movie player, not a Music player. I'd advise you use
Rhythmbox if you want a Music player.

So that's why it's got visualization when listening to audio? and is
fired from nautilus when you double-click on a mp3/ogg file, at least
in fedora? Doh, I must be an idiot
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2004-02-05 12:01:44 UTC
It just so happens that it plays audio files, and that it registers
the audio files types it can play with the rest of the GNOME system.
Totem is for movies playback and casual audio files playback
