Description Paolo Borelli 2004-01-19 19:59:10 UTC
As suggested by Paolo Maggi in bug 122433, this is an umbrella bug for the
way gedit deals with multiple documents and/or multiple windows.

I'll try to add any related bug to the dependencies list.

In futures gedit's releases (possibly in the 2.7 timeframe) a rework of the
way gedit handles MDI internally is planned; this will be a good time to
try to fix all this longstanding issues.

I'll also try to use this bug to collect some
informations/ideas/suggestions on the possible implementation of this stuff
in gedit.

These notes are probably obvious for some of the experineced coders, anyway
I'm writing them down
1) in the hope that they can be useful to anyone who wants to try to hack
on this task.
2) to make a fool of myself in the eyes of those who find this stuff simple ;-)

I am closing this 'umbrella', it doesn't rain anymore ;)
