Description Diego González 2004-01-15 17:12:33 UTC
i get this error when i launch totem

(totem:31061): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: file gstinterface.c: line 140
(gst_implements_interface_cast): assertion
`gst_element_implements_interface (GST_ELEMENT (from), iface_type)' failed

Not with xvideosink, you need ximagesink/xvimagesink as video output
plugin.

And we need to autodetect that... ;).
Comment 2 Thomas Vander Stichele 2004-02-24 15:47:11 UTC
diego, were you using xvideosink ?

Comment 3 Ronald Bultje 2004-02-24 16:38:21 UTC
I'm currently marking this as a non-bug, because gst-player and totem
both work just fine with ximagesink or xvimagesink as output plugins.
The above is probably a setup error.
Comment 4 Diego González 2004-02-24 21:52:53 UTC
yes i was using xvideosink, no i'm using the x*imagesink and it works
much better
