Description lsof 2004-01-07 21:54:16 UTC
gthumb 2.1.8 does not complain visibly about not having permission to save
a file while trying to save a jpeg image after a lossless rotation.

Howevever, if gthumb is run from the command line, a permissions error is
given.

For example, a root owned directory, which is not world writable can be
viewed, but saving does not work. Confusingly, the gthumb user is never told.
Comment 1 lsof 2004-01-07 22:58:25 UTC
Same for latest gthumb v2.2.0
Comment 2 Alexander Kirillov 2004-01-22 23:32:54 UTC
Also in gthumb 2.3.0.
Comment 3 Alexander Kirillov 2004-01-23 15:18:07 UTC
I think it deserves severity "normal" raher than major.
Comment 4 lsof 2004-01-23 16:08:51 UTC
The reason I chose "major" was that it is a security bug.
I could find no "security" severity :/
Comment 5 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-01-24 14:53:49 UTC
Fixed in CVS.
