Description Carlos Perelló Marín 2003-12-27 17:49:51 UTC
Here you have a patch that just merge the keyboard bindings capplet into
the main keyboard capplet.

I did not change any functionality, just merged both capplets.

My next step will be try to merge acme with this new keyboard capplet
before the GNOME 2.5 freeze.

Could I commit?

Carlos: have you emailed jody and jrb directly? That may be more
effective for a large patch such as this one than bugzilla. [BTW, I
personally would kill to have acme merged. Good luck. :)

I'm in touch with jody.

He told me that they were talking about the merge in NY and they
thought that the merge was not necessary.

I'm finishing the International applet to be able to restructure the
keyboard capplet so perhaps I could change their mind :-)

About the acme merge, I don't know anything new, as soon as I get
finished the actual capplet I will look at it if the merge is stopped.

As long as the layout is part of the keyboard capplet we have
consensus that the bindings will not be merged in. There's just too
much gunk there already.
