GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 128704
panel clock/calendar integration patch
Last modified: 2005-08-15 01:52:09 UTC
This is our patch for the panel clock/calendar integration bounty. (http://www.gnome.org/bounties/Calendar.php3#127532) Features: - support for multiple calendars/tasks in Evolution - live detection of changes in calendars - events in the same calendar are the same color - long summary lines have automatic line breaks - a tooltip shows the event's description text on mouse-over, if available - task are sorted by priority, events by starting time - support for events with recurrences - double clicking a day starts Evolution's calendar (going to a specific day is not yet possible with Evolution) - if there are too many events/tasks to be displayed for a day, the list becomes scrollable - supports all gnome panel orientations - handy quickalarm ranging from 3 minutes (tea) to 60 minutes (cake) Please review this patch and give feedback. Patch and screenshots will be attached. Martin Grimme Christian Kellner
Created attachment 22163 [details] [review] patch for clock/calendar integration
Created attachment 22164 [details] some screenshots
The patch comes with a copy of the ESourceSelector widget of Evolution. The Evo people gave their OK to copy the code to the clock applet. Eventually, the ESourceSelector will get into the evolution-data-server libaries, making the duplicated code obsolete.
Looking at the screenshots i must conclude that the dialogs aren't totally HIG, just noticing!, very nice work tho!
You need to update your patch to CVS head. It conflicts just slightly with some changes I made yesterday
Created attachment 22354 [details] [review] new patch applies to CVS Head and contains some HIGifications
Created attachment 22355 [details] new screenshot (the dialog buttons are not yet properly aligned, but this is part of the HIGification of the clock preferences)
Added the PATCH keyword and upgraded the priority to High due to all the attached patches 'n' things.
