GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 127667
change flac mime type
Last modified: 2005-08-15 01:48:11 UTC
Currently Gnome uses application/x-flac. KDE uses audio/x-flac, GStreamer uses audio/x-flac, the xiph guys say audio/x-flac should be used and every other project seems to use audio/x-flac, too as long as it's not related to GNOME.
Who at Xiph.org told you that "audio/x-flac" should be used? Josh Coalson?
At least 5 people at once. That was quite a lot for an otherwise quite an idle channel ;) but I don't have a statement from the flac maintainer himself. Thought it wasn't necessary when all people agree here.
Yeah, I was just curious. :) Sounds like audio/x-flac is what we need then.
