Description Benjamin Otte (Company) 2003-11-22 14:42:53 UTC
Currently Gnome uses application/x-flac.

KDE uses audio/x-flac, GStreamer uses audio/x-flac, the xiph guys say
audio/x-flac should be used and every other project seems to use
audio/x-flac, too as long as it's not related to GNOME.

Who at Xiph.org told you that "audio/x-flac" should be used? Josh Coalson?
Comment 2 Benjamin Otte (Company) 2003-11-24 11:51:24 UTC
At least 5 people at once.
That was quite a lot for an otherwise quite an idle channel ;)

but I don't have a statement from the flac maintainer himself. Thought
it wasn't necessary when all people agree here.

Yeah, I was just curious. :)

Sounds like audio/x-flac is what we need then.

        * gnome-vfs.keys.in:
        * gnome-vfs.mime: application/x-flac is now audio/x-flac,
        image/svg is now image/svg+xml (Closes: #127667, #86748)
