Description Johannes Berg 2003-10-17 18:24:37 UTC
Package: Gnumeric
Severity: enhancement
Version: 1.2.0
Synopsis: cannot enter "PLaC" or similar
Bugzilla-Product: Gnumeric
Bugzilla-Component: Analytics

Description:
Whenever I try to enter PLaC into a cell, no matter if I write
PLaC
'PLaC
='PLaC'

it is always "corrected" to PlaC -- which I think is a nuisance.
I could just turn off auto-correction of initial capitals, but I think
that a word that contains a capital somewhere at the end shouldn't be
auto-corrected in the first place.

autocorrect in general seems like a dubious feature.
If someone wants to add even more heuristics they are welcome to.

I agree that things like PLaC should not be "fixed", especially since PLAc isn't
"fixed" already.

Fixed in cvs HEAD. Will be in 1.4.
