GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 122465
Import bookmarks from XBEL druid bad screen layout
Last modified: 2011-02-14 13:07:10 UTC
Hi, http://bugs.debian.org/210588 notes problems with the import druid: The XBEL (Galeon and Konqueror) Bookmarks Import Druid has a screen called "Merge Imported Bookmarks". This screen contains two lists, "Imported bookmarks" and "Current bookmarks". Both lists are only one line high, which already renders them pretty unusable, but what makes them *really* unusable is that the width of the fields in the list is wider than the screen, so that there is a horizontal scrollbar, which obscures the one line that is in the list! To make things even worse, the druid window is not resizable, so that you cannot enlarge the lists in order to work around this problem. The only thing you can do is to resize the columns so that the scrollbar goes away, and work with the one line there is... Mark Howard wrote: > Ok, you've described how it doesn't work well. I think the screen's usability would be improved a lot if the lists were side-by-side. That should get rid of most of the problems, don't you agree? Making the dialog resizable would be a nice addition on top of the layout change, but if the lists are side by side the urgency of that will be pretty low.
The druid is resizable again, leaving bug open since ric had some plans.
