Description mike 2003-09-05 16:06:52 UTC
When a user goes to download a theme on art.gnome.org, the page for each
theme / background / etc. from which the real download is started.. should
explain how to install that theme/background/etc.

Right now the installation instructions are tucked away in the outdated
FAQ. If the instructions would just appear somewhere intuitive, then most
of the FAQ would be unnecessary anyway.. but it would be much more clear to
new users how to actually use the nice stuff they get from a.g.o.
Comment 1 Alex Duggan 2003-11-30 22:24:01 UTC
Please give me specific instructions for each type of theme and I
would be happy to add them to the download page.

Reassigning all art.gnome.org bugs to thos@gnome.org
Comment 3 Link Dupont 2006-07-29 13:56:46 UTC
This is already implemented, is it not?
Comment 4 Thomas Wood 2006-07-29 16:51:12 UTC
Partly. It's currently implemented for icon, gtk and metacity themes, since those all have the same instructions. GDM themes and splash screens need more detailed instructions, where there currently isn't space on the page for this. It might be possible to solve this by using a link to the FAQ item which details the installation procedure.
Comment 5 Lucas Lommer 2007-01-02 02:07:35 UTC
The rest will be solved using FAQ assignment (in ago3 will be possible to "attach" a FAQ to each theme type like "How to install Gtk2 themes?" or something).

art.gnome.org is not under development anymore.
