Description Mark Howard 2003-09-03 08:33:22 UTC
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=194062 requests:

Every now and again, I accidentally close a tab (which may or not
be the last one). It would be really useful to have an "undo" for
this - Ctrl-Z maybe ;-) which re-opens the last closed window.
Sometimes I can find the site again (maybe in tools->history), but
sometimes it's lost.

I dunno - it just needs to keep track of the last closed window and then
find a way of letting you go back (e.g. go->last closed page).

I have a surfing habit of opening lots of tabs (e.g. google for something,
right click on half a dozen links, then go through them). Every now and
again I accidentally close one just as I see something interesting and think
"oops -hang on!" Sometimes finding that page again can be quite nasty.

Well it's your call! I'm not going to complain viciously about it.

tough :-) Handling a bit of carelessness is one thing, handling alot is
another. I suppose you could be nice and remember the last n closed windows.

there are two firefox extensions that do this (I suppose they work for Mozilla
too, just haven't tried). It's insanely useful and probably the primary reason
why I have been using Firefox rather than my favourite browser.

oops sorry about the half-post. My point was to link to the extension(s) which
may possibly give hints to UI and implementation. Here they are:

Galeon has not seen any code changes since May 2010:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/archive/galeon/log

This project is not under active development anymore and got recently archived in GNOME Git.

It is currently unlikely that there will be any further active development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone
takes the responsibility for active development again.
