Description Mark Finlay 2003-08-19 06:43:04 UTC
The default panel size has changed from 22px in 2.2 to 32px in 2.4.
I'm wonder if there is a specific resason for this. It causes icons
to be streched unpleasantly and takes up a _lot_ of screen real
estate, especially at low resolutions.
Comment 1 Mark Finlay 2003-08-29 11:56:00 UTC
Actually it used to be 24px
Comment 2 Mark Finlay 2003-08-29 12:02:51 UTC
Oh yeah, and I'm not talking about the default size of a newly created
panel, i'm talking about the size of the panels created by default for
a new user.

Patch to correct default panel size
Comment 4 Vincent Untz 2003-09-17 13:15:14 UTC
This has been discussed on d-d-l, but I can't remember what has been
decided. Will this patch be applied for 2.4.1 and 2.5.x or is it WONTFIX ?
Comment 5 Mark Finlay 2003-09-17 14:56:25 UTC
It can definately go in for 2.5 and should probably go in for 2.4.1 too.
Comment 6 Telsa Gwynne 2003-10-04 10:29:14 UTC
Oh, _that's_ what happened.

On my 800x600 monitor on the box I use for testing and for
taking to events to demo (it's a small monitor and a very small
computer, so possible to transport) I have to shrink the thing
right down every time I create a new user or a demo user.

Please put the panel back to its earlier size. It's bad enough
at that size on 800x600, but any larger is just ridiculous.

Upgrading the priority level to High because of the attached patch.
Comment 8 Vincent Untz 2004-01-06 21:38:33 UTC
Fixed in HEAD.
