Description Dylan Griffiths 2003-08-05 18:09:56 UTC
When I'm working in an IDE, I like to have it take up most of my screen
space. Once thing I miss from working in XP is the ability to maximize
across desktops (G550 drivers allowed this via shift+maximize click). For
multi-head desktops, it'd be a nice enchancement :)

It's not just adding a keybinding, but a new window state; would be a
pretty involved patch that might imply EWMH spec changes.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you still use metacity and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/metacity/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
