Description oli 2003-08-01 12:26:39 UTC
The behaviour of the flowchart textbox shape (rectangle with text inside) changed from
0.88.1 to 0.90:
In 0.88.1 the size of the textbox is freely defineable; in 0.90 the size of the box is forced
to the size of the text puls padding. That is, while typing the textbox grows, but
otherwise the size of the box cannot be changed. This is an important feature which is
now missing.

I have chosen the "general" component as I assume that other shapes are based on this
textbox.

Further, the problem is not limited to new diagrams created with 0.90. Old diagrams
created with 0.88.1 show the desribed behaviour, even if the size of a textbox was larger
in 0.88.1. I described this problem in
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/dia-list/2003-July/msg00194.html
where I also attached two .eps files that illustrate the problem.

Cheers,
Oliver

Ah, now I see what you mean. Yes, that was changed in 0.90, for no
particular reason. We changed it back in 0.91, including some better
calculation of padding.
