Description dave 2003-07-31 20:55:47 UTC
The "simplified" filters seem to be bahaving oddly in 0.14.0.93.

For newsgroups that already existed, if none of the filter options are
ticked (Match New, Cached, Text, Binary, Mine) then the filter operates as
the old "Match New AND Unread".

Once you have ticked any of them (or pressed any of the toolbar buttons)
there is no way to get back to this state because "Match Unread" is not an
option and if none are ticked it shows all the articles.

For newsgroups that you subscribe to or d/l for the first time in .93, then
there is no way at all to get the "Match New AND Unread".

Also, if you go to an "old style" newsgroup (i.e. one that you haven't
messed up yet!) and press "Show only New" from the toolbar, then go to any
other newsgroup, then it shows all the articles in that group as if you had
pressed the button twice in that group!
