GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 118452
Recovering content of web-forms after crash
Last modified: 2018-03-28 17:51:00 UTC
I just had epiphany crash on me (without any obvious reason) after writing a pretty long and "thought-heavy" message (about software-usability...) into a web-form (something that's in itself a little challenging, but that's beside the point :)). Now, had Epiphany after next startup not only recovered the open web-pages but also the contents of the form I was writing in, I would now be writing love-letters to you epiphany developers instead of this (wishlist) bug-report ;) (I opted for writing this bug-report instead of hate-mail, because I'm still very grateful to all of you for this great browser!) Anyway, the title should be pretty much self-explaining. I don't know how difficult it would be to regularly save the contents of web-forms (and I also see some privacy-problems that you might or might not consider a problem); but if it could be done that would be great! Thanks to all of you for your great work so far! Lars
This is probably very hard to implement but it's a nice idea. Btw please please please report crashers with a stack trace when you get them !

Still reproducible, changing component.
This is a mass NEEDINFO of all Epiphany bugs with no activity in the past three years. I'm going to be automatically closing old bugs to help us focus on current problems. If you feel this bug is still relevant with Epiphany 3.26 or newer, then please leave any comment here so that I know not to close this one.
Pretty sure this works nowadays.
