Description Rob Mayoff 2003-07-04 16:44:02 UTC
Description of Problem:

The "Font Rendering Details" dialog has a
"Resolution" setting. The dialog enforces an
upper limit of 200 dpi. This limit is
insufficient. The IBM T221, the Viewsonic
VP2290b, and certain monitors from Iiyama and
Totoku have a resolution of 204 dpi.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Type "204" in the dpi box.
2. Tab out of the box.
3. Notice that the number has been changed to "200".

Actual Results:

200 dpi.

Expected Results:

204 dpi.

How often does this happen?

Every time.

Additional Information:

Perhaps setting the upper limit to 3x the dpi
reported by the X server would be better. My X
server knows that my monitor is 204 dpi.
