Description Marco Pesenti Gritti 2003-07-01 18:42:11 UTC
There is a problem of visibility of the smart bookmark functionality,
because we use the same entry for them, the only indication is the %s.

We could add a separate entry, but I see these disadvantages:

- Normal bookmarks would have that entry empty, and it could be confusing
(what is a smart bookmark ?) Could a tip solve this ?
- I have the impression adding that field would require another tab (what
would be a sensible name for it ?)
- We would prolly be forced to break format again

Opinions ?

Prolly there should be also something to show that the bookmark can go
in autocompl window. Dave, your opinion would be useful. Even a "let's
delay post 1.0" would work.
Comment 2 Marius Andreiana 2003-07-06 10:44:15 UTC
How about adding a new bold topic, 'Smart Bookmarks', besides the
existing All, Most Visited, Not Categorized?

Presence in this topic would be automate, the same as in the rest bold
( special ) topics. If an URL has %s, show it there, otherwise not.
Comment 3 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2003-07-08 17:07:17 UTC
lets delay post 1.0, we are in ui and feature freeze.

Comment 11 Reinout van Schouwen 2005-12-29 14:15:56 UTC
There has been some discussion on the mailing list about replacing smart bookmarks by the concept of 'Searches', see http://mail.gnome.org/archives/epiphany-list/2005-November/msg00009.html

Comment 2 sounds interesting
Comment 16 Michael Catanzaro 2016-09-28 16:49:49 UTC
Hi, the bookmarks code has been rewritten from scratch. When you have a convenient opportunity to test the new version of the code (which will be present in Epiphany 3.23.1) please check to see if your issue is still a problem, and reply here. Thanks!

Hi, this is a mass close of all bugs in the NEEDINFO state. If you think this bug was closed improperly, just leave a comment, thanks!
